Grey Lynn Festival Board Member 2019 - current

Grey Lynn Park Festival (GLPF) is a long-running, one day community festival in Auckland, New Zealand filled with music, arts and entertainment. Organised by the GLPF Trust Board, a charitable trust which has been operating for 30+ years. In 2019 a new board was established to deliver the vision of becoming a zero waste event. As a Board Member Rebecca supports the team with sustainability (zero waste event) advisory, website design and copywriting of https://www.greylynnparkfestival.org/. Rebecca is also instrumental in designing and implementing the GLPF kaupapa (purpose) and long term Sustainability Roadmap. Engaging with the Waitematā Local Board and Ngāti Whātua Õrākei as cultural advisory groups for the event Rebecca is leading the rollout of key initiatives to support zero waste, and stronger community & cultural engagement.

Auckland Sustainability Group Co-Chair 2015 - 2019

The Auckland Sustainability Group is a network of professionals from a variety of private and public sector organisations such as Air NZ, Auckland Council, Panuku (ex Waterfront Auckland), University of Auckland, KiwiRail, Fuji Xerox, Westpac, Vector, Vodafone, Les Mills, THL, Watercare, Oji (ex Carter Holt Harvey), EY and Deloitte. Membership represents areas such as Corporate Sustainability / Corporate Social Responsibility / Community / Strategic Projects and Sustainable Performance. These roles have been specifically chosen to provide a diverse and dynamic platform for networking, collaboration and coaching. As co-Chair Rebecca supported regular ongoing event management and facilitation (Chatham house rules). Annual retreat design, event facilitation and group communications

The Sustainability Society Board Member 2015 - 2016

The Sustainability Society provides training and fosters dialogue on sustainability through workshops, seminars, forums and international conferences. It takes a complex systems approach to sustainability, recognising that human and natural systems are increasingly interconnected and interdependent.
