Rebecca was accountable for commercialising a world-first fleet of electric motorhomes available for rent from Auckland and Queenstown. Responsible for harnessing a large cross-matrix team covering manufacturing, pricing, marketing, sustainability and operational readiness to launch and test commercial viability. Using key insights and learnings to design a 'future of our fleet' strategy for board approval, incorporating analysis and modelling of the global EV ecosystem identifying key tipping points and timing of on-going investment in R&D at a global level.

What value was added?

  • Launch of the world’s first fully electric motorhome available for commercial rent including installation of 54 public electric vehicle charging stations across 23 holiday parks around New Zealand

  • Harness funding and media opportunities to support new research and design initiatives related to clean energy, low emission transportation

  • Improved operational processes and expanded key performance indicators aimed at handling new electric vehicle detailing and maintenance

  • Core intellectual property captured and documented in key strategic categories of buy rent sell to guide future decision making and timing for further investment
